Since they began in 1956, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award has been dedicated to the personal development of young people from all backgrounds.
With the widest reach of any UK youth charity, 275,000 young people (30,000 are from disadvantaged backgrounds) undertake inspiring DofE programmes to achieve Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Awards every year.
Volunteers are needed to work with participants during the training evenings and on expeditions to deliver the Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Bronze and Silver levels.  Group sizes are generally no larger than 10.
A  Supervisor is essential for the Expedition section as they are responsible for supervising and supporting a team of participants to ensure their safety and well-being whilst they are doing their expedition. The meetings are held at Heatherside Community Centre on a Sunday evening.
